About this product
The radio chip in the SLZB-06p10 is the Texas Instruments CC2674P10 — a multiprotocol SoC that, with one click in SLZB-OS, moves the network from Zigbee 3.0 to Thread and back. Beside it sit an ESP32-S3 host and a 10/100M Ethernet controller isolated between LAN and USB.<br><br>The onboard +20 dB amplifier and the rotatable +5 dB antenna give it generous coverage headroom across a multi-level house. It powers from PoE 802.3af or USB Type-C, with ESP32 autoboot for reflashing. It runs as a LAN bridge for Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA in Home Assistant, or as an OTBR for Matter-over-Thread. No separate hub is required — it is itself the bridge between the mesh and the network.

Placed on PoE next to the switch in a house on the edge of Chișinău, antenna raised, the p10 covers a dense two-level Zigbee mesh without sitting next to the mini-PC.
The CC2674P10 chip moves the network from Zigbee 3.0 to Matter-over-Thread with one click in SLZB-OS, so the coordinator follows the ecosystem with no hardware change.
It joins Zigbee2MQTT or ZHA over TCP, so the Home Assistant server stays in the rack while the coordinator sits where the signal is best.

Which radio chip is in the SLZB-06p10 and why does it matter?
It uses the multiprotocol Texas Instruments CC2674P10 SoC. This is the step up from the base SLZB-06 (CC2652P, Zigbee-only): besides Zigbee 3.0, the p10 supports Matter-over-Thread, and moving between protocols is one click in SLZB-OS. Note that some supplier labels read CC2652P10, but the official page and the marking on the board state CC2674P10.Does it work with Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA in Home Assistant?
Yes. Smlight officially confirms both Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA. The coordinator joins Home Assistant as a LAN bridge over TCP, so it need not sit next to the Home Assistant server — you place it where the Zigbee signal is best and connect it over Ethernet or Wi-Fi.Can I power the coordinator over PoE?
Yes, it supports PoE IEEE 802.3af (15 W) with an isolated transformer, so it can sit next to the network switch and run from a single Ethernet cable. Alternatively it powers from USB Type-C; both sources can be managed at once, with no need to choose one in advance.How does it differ from the base SLZB-06 and the Silicon Labs versions?
The base SLZB-06 uses the CC2652P (Zigbee-only). The p10 moves to the multiprotocol CC2674P10, adding Thread and an ESP32-S3 host, with autoboot flashing over Type-C. The Silicon Labs siblings (06Mg24, 06Mg26) use EFR32 chips — the choice depends on your preferred stack: the TI path with the CC2674P10 or the Silabs stack.Does it need a separate hub?
No. The coordinator is itself the bridge between the Zigbee/Thread mesh and the home network — it does not connect to a hub. It does need a host running the coordination software: Zigbee2MQTT or ZHA in Home Assistant, or OTBR for Thread. The coordinator is not a smart plug or an end device.How do I get coverage in a larger house?
The p10 has an onboard +20 dB amplifier and an external rotatable +5 dB antenna aimable on three axes — good coverage headroom. For a multi-level house, mount the coordinator centrally, on PoE beside the switch, antenna raised; real mesh density then grows through router devices (with-neutral relays, mains-powered plugs).How is the firmware updated?
The coordinator has separate firmware for the CC2674P10 radio chip and for the ESP32 host, both updatable remotely (OTA) from the SLZB-OS web interface. The ESP32 has an autoboot mode, so reflashing over USB Type-C needs no manual pin-jumping. SLZB-OS ships pre-installed, so the first boot greets you with a web panel.
