• How does the Ultra differ from the 24GHz eMotion Pro?

  The Ultra uses a 60GHz mmWave radar — the higher frequency — and is the flagship of the range: stationary-presence detection is finer and it adds 3D per-zone mapping. The Pro runs on 24GHz and adds fall detection. To keep the light on over someone sitting still, the 60GHz Ultra is the most sensitive option.
• Does it work with Home Assistant, and does it need a hub?

  Yes — it is built Home Assistant-first and needs no proprietary hub. The official page states 'no proprietary hub is required for the core setup': the sensor joins your router over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and publishes presence, zone, light, temperature, humidity and IR entities into MQTT, locally. Its BLE functions serve LinknLink accessories.
• How is it different from a classic PIR motion sensor?

  A PIR only reacts to motion and 'forgets' a person sitting still, killing the light. The Ultra's 60GHz mmWave radar also catches micro-presence — breathing, small movements at a desk — so it sees the room is occupied even with no obvious motion. Hence the up-to-four 3D zones a PIR cannot draw.
• What detection zones can I configure?

  Up to four configurable 3D zones plus position tracking: you can mark the sofa, desk, bed and hallway separately, and each zone triggers its own automations. Usable range is up to 6 m for motion and about 4 m for stationary presence, enough for the living area of an ordinary apartment.
• Does it really measure light, temperature, humidity and send IR?

  Yes, it is multi-function: beyond the radar it has a built-in brightness sensor, reads temperature and humidity through the included plug-in cable, and carries a 360-degree IR blaster for TV, air conditioner and audio. All those readings and commands reach Home Assistant over MQTT from a single device.
• How is it powered and where do I mount it?

  It is USB-C powered from a certified 5V/2A adapter, not battery (the battery version is the eMotion Air). For the best coverage, mount it in a ceiling corner facing the seating area, not over a thoroughfare. A weak USB can cause detection misses — use the adapter that comes with it.
• Does it work with Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home, SmartThings or Matter?

  Alexa, Google Home (Hey Google) and Siri (Apple Home) are officially supported, alongside the main Home Assistant integration over MQTT. SmartThings and Matter are marked 'Future Update' on the maker's page, so we do not promise them yet; for full local control we recommend the Home Assistant route.
