• Does the Bullet 2E 5MP record in colour at night?

  Yes. It has four-mode Smart Color Night Vision and a built-in spotlight: in the dark it switches between IR (up to 30 m, black-and-white) and a colour image, and on motion the spotlight comes on and lights the scene. The 5MP QHD 2880×1620 sensor gives more detail than a 4MP camera.
• Does it have PoE or does it run on Wi-Fi?

  The camera connects over Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax, 2.4 GHz, dual antenna). It also has a 100 Mbps Ethernet port, but that is data-only — there is no PoE. Power is separate, from a DC 12 V 0.5 A adapter (under 6 W), so 12 volts must be brought to the mounting point.
• Can I connect the camera to a third-party NVR or Home Assistant?

  Yes. The Bullet 2E supports ONVIF, so the RTSP stream can be added to a third-party NVR, to Synology Surveillance Station, to Frigate or straight into Home Assistant, and the footage stays local. You do not have to depend on the cloud to keep the archive.
• How much storage does it take, and can I record without a subscription?

  The microSD slot takes cards up to 512 GB and records straight into the camera, with no subscription. There is also imou cloud (paid) and recording to a network NVR — pick one or combine them.
• Does it have two-way audio?

  No. The model has only a built-in microphone — one-way audio, so you can hear what happens in the yard. There is no speaker to reply, so you cannot talk to someone at the gate through the camera. If you need two-way audio, choose another imou model.
• What is the difference between the 2.8 mm and 3.6 mm lens?

  The Bullet 2E ships with a fixed 2.8 mm or 3.6 mm lens depending on the version. At 2.8 mm the field is wider — 88°(H), good for a yard or a whole facade. At 3.6 mm it is narrower and reaches further — 73°(H), suited to a driveway or a gate at a distance.
• Will it survive outdoors in winter, cold and rain?

  Yes. The body is rated IP67 against dust and water, and the working temperature is −30 to +60 °C, so it rides out a Chișinău winter and summer heat outdoors with no canopy. Do tuck the 12 V adapter into a sealed enclosure.
