• Will it work with a third-party NVR?

  Yes. The PS3EP-5M0 supports ONVIF and RTSP, so it records not only to an Imou NVR but also to Dahua, Hikvision or other ONVIF-compatible recorders, as well as Synology Surveillance Station, Frigate and Home Assistant. You are not tied to the imou app to view or store the stream.
• How is it powered — do I need an outdoor socket?

  Not necessarily. The camera is powered over PoE 802.3af on the same network cable that carries the video, so a 230 V socket under the eaves is not required — a PoE switch or an NVR with PoE ports is enough. There is also a DC 12V 1A input if you prefer a separate supply; consumption stays under 12 W.
• Does it see in colour at night or only black-and-white?

  The PS3EP-5M0 has four night modes: full-colour with the built-in spotlight for true colours, infrared up to 30 m for discretion, a combined mode, and one that turns the light on only on motion. For colour the spotlight must stay enabled; in pure IR mode the image is black-and-white.
• What field of view and lens does it have?

  It has a fixed 2.8mm F1.6 lens with a 96° horizontal, 52° vertical and 111° diagonal field of view — a wide angle suited to an entrance, a driveway or a corner of a yard. Being fixed, it has no optical zoom for distance; for a far target choose the mounting spot carefully or use the 8× digital zoom.
• What storage does it support, and does a 512 GB card fit?

  Yes. The camera takes a microSD card up to 512 GB on board, recording to an NVR (Imou or third-party over ONVIF) and the Imou Protect cloud on a subscription. For a multi-camera system, centralised NVR/HDD recording is usually more practical than a card in each camera.
• Is it the same as the imou Wi-Fi version?

  No. The IPC-PS3EP-5M0 is the wired PoE variant of the PS3E (bullet) family, powered and connected over a network cable. The Wi-Fi sibling is the S3EP (Bullet 3) and connects wirelessly. For an NVR system with structured cabling, the PoE version here is the baseline choice.
• Will it survive a Moldovan winter outdoors?

  Yes. The body is IP67 certified against dust and water, and the working temperature is rated -30 to 60 °C, covering both winter frost and summer rooftop sun. Use the waterproof connector and plug from the box at the network-cable joint to keep the IP67 rating intact.
