• Does the GL-C-615WL need a hub or Zigbee gateway?

  No. The controller runs WLED firmware on an ESP32 and joins your home Wi-Fi directly; there is no Gledopto or Zigbee gateway to buy. You control it from the WLED web UI or the WLED Native app, and it adds to Home Assistant natively through the WLED integration, with no cloud.
• What do the two outputs mean and what can they drive?

  The GL-C-615WL has two digital outputs on one board, plus a free IO13 pin for DIY. You can drive two addressable strips independently (say ceiling and furniture) or one longer installation split across two data runs, up to roughly 800 ICs in total on the controller.
• Which LED strips and what power supply are compatible?

  Addressable strips with WS2812B, WS2815, SK6812, UCS2903B, SM16703 and other chips are supported, at 5, 12 or 24 V to match the strip. The controller handles a maximum of 15 A in total and 10 A per channel, so long runs need a correctly sized power supply, not just the Type-C port.
• What are the USB Type-C port and IO13 pin for?

  The USB Type-C port (5 V/3 A) is for firmware flashing, configuration and logic power — meaning you update or rewrite WLED straight from a computer. The default data pins are GPIO16 and GPIO2, and IO13 stays free as a DIY GPIO for a button, a sensor or a third signal.
• Does it have music-reactive effects?

  Yes. The GL-C-615WL has a built-in microphone, and WLED includes sound-reactive effects, so the strip pulses to the music with no extra accessories. The board also carries an energy-saving relay that cuts the strip's standby draw.
• Can I mount it outdoors, and how does it differ from the GL-C-616WL and GL-C-618WL?

  The enclosure is rated IP20 and works from -20 to +45 °C, so it is an indoor controller — for outdoor use put it in a sealed box. Range differences: the GL-C-616WL adds an Ethernet (LAN) port alongside Wi-Fi, and the GL-C-618WL has four outputs instead of two; the GL-C-615WL is the two-output, Wi-Fi version.
