• Does it need a hub or gateway?

  No. The WSM16-W2 is the Wi-Fi version of the module and connects straight over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi to the home router, then shows up in the Tuya Smart / Smart Life app with no intermediary device. Only the Zigbee sibling, the ZWSM16, needs a Tuya gateway.
• What does "2-gang" mean in practice?

  The module has two independent relays, so it controls two separate circuits from one spot — say the chandelier on one channel and the sconce on the other. Each channel has its own schedule and its own state in the app, and they do not affect each other. It typically wires in behind an existing two-key switch.
• Does the wall switch still work?

  Yes. The physical keys stay wired to the two channels, so the light goes on and off by hand for anyone walking into the room, no phone needed. The module adds app and scene control on top of the existing manual control rather than replacing it.
• What load does each channel handle?

  The official Avatto page publishes only a 5 A rated current per module and an AC 100–240 V supply; the exact per-channel wattage (the 250 W / 10 A figure) is quoted by distributors, not the maker. It is fine for ordinary LED lighting, but for large fittings or inductive loads confirm the per-channel load with us first.
• Which app and voice assistants does it work with?

  The module works in the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app and, from there, with Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Yandex Alice for voice control. The same app sets timer, schedule, countdown, group control and family share, plus the three switching modes.
• How does it differ from the Zigbee ZWSM16?

  The WSM16-W2 uses Wi-Fi and needs no hub, connecting straight to the router; the ZWSM16 uses Zigbee and needs a Tuya gateway, but draws less power and holds a local mesh network. With no gateway yet, the Wi-Fi version here is the simplest path; if you already have one, Zigbee offloads the router.
• Can I install it myself?

  The module wires in series with the existing cabling in the back-box on the 230 V side, so installation is an electrician's job — all the more since two channels mean two circuits in one box and tight space. Measure the back-box depth behind the doubled keys before ordering.
