Any appliance with a plug becomes remotely controllable the moment it goes into the Smart Plug 2: the socket answers commands from the Xiaomi Home app wherever you are. A 16 A rated current and loads up to 3680 W cover heaters, water boilers, pumps and multi-socket power strips.<br><br>Real-time energy metering shows how many watts a device is pulling and keeps statistics, so you can see what is inflating the bill. Schedules and a countdown timer switch off a forgotten iron or start the coffee maker before you wake. Power-on state memory returns the socket to its previous position after an outage, while overcurrent and overheating protection plus a flame-retardant housing (750°C glow-wire tested) work in the background. Compatible with Google Home and Amazon Alexa for voice control.
