• How is the TX Ultimate different from the regular TX series?

  On T0–T3 only the marked key zones respond; on the TX Ultimate nearly the whole face is the sensor. It adds the 8-mode RGB ring, a speaker and vibration motor, gestures, the eWeLink-Remote gateway for S-MATE/R5 and a replaceable cover.
• Does a touch really work anywhere on the panel?

  Yes — the touch zone covers nearly the whole faceplate; the maker calls it Full Touch Access. A light touch switches the load, including an elbow or the back of your hand when your arms are full.
• Which gestures does the panel understand?

  A left-right swipe across the glass (over half its width) triggers an eWeLink smart scene, and a multi-point tap toggles the ambient light. A 5-second long press puts the panel into pairing mode.
• Will the sound feedback bother anyone at night?

  Not with Do Not Disturb on: during the chosen window sounds, light effects and indicators all go quiet. Sound and vibration feedback can also be disabled permanently in the eWeLink settings.
• How do I use it as a night light?

  The LED edge ring has 8 ambient modes and can be lit manually with a multi-point tap. For automation, build an eWeLink scene with a motion sensor (an SNZB-03P, say) — the hallway lights itself at night.
• Can it drive electric curtains?

  This model cannot. In the 86 series, motor mode for curtains exists only on the 3-gang T5-3C-86. The T5-1C-86 works strictly as a switch for one lighting line.
• What should the electrician prepare before installation?

  A neutral for the N terminal (in older buildings it is jumpered from the junction box), line and the load wire to the fixture, plus a 10 A MCB/RCBO ahead of the line — a manufacturer requirement. The mechanism is 39 mm deep, so a 45 mm back box helps.
• Does it work with the S-MATE button and the R5 remote?

  Yes — the TX Ultimate has a built-in eWeLink-Remote gateway: S-MATE and R5 join as sub-devices and control the panel or scenes locally. An S-MATE can even become a doorbell, with the panel's speaker playing the chime.
