• How is the MINI-RBS-E different from the MINI-RBS module?

  The MINI-RBS is a hidden in-box module that keeps your existing key, while the MINI-RBS-E (Orb-RBS) is a finished switch with its own 86×86 faceplate and up/down key. The electronics match — Matter over Wi-Fi, a 1 A relay — so choose by the state of the old key.
• Which shutter motor can I connect?

  A standard 4/5-wire AC motor: live, neutral, up, down and earth, drawing up to 1 A. One motor per panel — the manufacturer explicitly forbids wiring two motors in parallel, as their travel drifts out of sync.
• What do I need for Apple Home or Google Home?

  A Matter controller for the chosen ecosystem — HomePod or Apple TV for Apple Home, Nest Hub for Google Home, Echo for Alexa — plus 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. The panel joins via its Matter QR code. Without a controller, everything still works in eWeLink, no hub required.
• How does the panel know the opening percentage?

  Through calibration. Holding the service button for over 10 seconds runs an automatic up-down pass that maps the travel; a manual mode with fixed end points also exists. After that the app slider hits exact percentages — 30% in the morning, 70% in the heat.
• The shutter goes down on the 'up' command — is it faulty?

  No — the direction wires are simply swapped. Enable Direction Reverse in the app and the rotation flips in software, with no need to reopen the box and move wires.
• Which wall box and wiring does it need?

  A square 86-Type or a round European Φ60 box; the body is 34 mm deep and the panel sits 21 mm proud of the wall. A neutral in the box, 18–14 AWG copper conductors (about 0.8–2 mm²) and a 10 A breaker upstream are mandatory. It is 230 V work — leave it to an electrician.
• Can it share a frame with other Fusion devices?

  Yes. Fusion Orb 2- and 3-gang frames (sold separately) line the Orb-RBS up with other panels in the series — the Orb Socket, for instance — mounted vertically or horizontally.
• Why does the motor stop by itself on long runs?

  It is a protection: continuous travel in one direction is capped at 2 minutes, after which the panel stops the motor automatically to prevent overheating. For very tall shutters, allow a pause between cycles.
