• Which power adapter do I need to buy?

  Sonoff officially calls for a 5V⎓2A USB charger. The box contains only the USB-A to Type-C cable; a power bank or a PC USB port also works if it can deliver 2 A.
• What actually changed compared with the L2 series?

  The power source: 5 V over USB Type-C instead of a 12 V adapter. The cut step is finer (55.55 mm vs 100 mm), but flux is lower — 150 lm for the whole strip — and the IR remote and adapter left the box.
• Can the L3 show several colours at once?

  No. The L3 (model L3-5M) is a classic RGB strip — the whole length shows one colour. Simultaneous multi-colour effects belong to the RGBIC L3 Pro (L3-5M-P).
• Can I power it from a TV USB port or a power bank?

  Sonoff officially shows powering from a charger, a USB hub, a power bank and a PC. A TV's USB port usually supplies under 1 A — the strip will start, but full brightness needs a true 2 A.
• Can I daisy-chain a second L3 strip?

  There is no official extension kit. The manufacturer's supported route is group control in eWeLink: several L3 strips run the same effects in sync, each with its own power feed.
• How does the first pairing with a phone work?

  On first power-up the controller enters Bluetooth pairing by itself; the mode times out after 3 minutes, and holding the button for 5 seconds re-enters it. Then eWeLink joins the strip to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (802.11b); without internet, control falls back to Bluetooth.
• Which voice assistants are officially supported?

  Sonoff badges the L3 with works-with marks for Alexa, Hey Google and SmartThings. Alexa can even switch preset scenes by voice; the integration runs through your eWeLink account.
• Can it replace white task lighting?

  Not really. The 2500–6500K whites are mixed from the RGB chips, and total output is 150 lm across 5 m — fine for accents behind a TV or on a shelf, not for primary lighting.
