• How is the L2 Lite different from the L2?

  Two official differences: the L2 Lite has no water resistance (IP20 versus the L2's IP65) and a 120° beam angle instead of 140°. The controller, remote, music mode and 30 LEDs/m are identical.
• Are the power adapter and remote included?

  Yes. The L2 Lite-5M-EU version ships with a 12V/2A adapter (100–240V input, EU plug) and a 24-key IR remote with its CR2025 battery — nothing extra to buy.
• Do I need a Sonoff hub?

  No. The controller connects straight to a 2.4 GHz router and is managed from the eWeLink app. Without internet, the strip is controlled over Bluetooth from your phone or with the IR remote.
• Is the strip addressable? Can sections show different colours?

  No, it is an analogue RGB strip: all LEDs show one colour at a time, with 3-LED segments. Multi-colour chasing effects belong to the RGBIC Sonoff L3 series.
• Can I shorten or extend the strip?

  Shortening — yes, along the cut lines every 100 mm. Only the part attached to the controller keeps working; the cut-off piece cannot be reconnected. There is no official extension kit for the L2 Lite.
• Can I use it in a bathroom, balcony or outdoors?

  No. The IP20 rating means dry indoor rooms only. For damp areas or outdoor use Sonoff offers the L2 with IP65.
• Which Wi-Fi network does it need?

  2.4 GHz only, IEEE 802.11b standard; 5 GHz networks are not supported. On a dual-band router, enable the 2.4 GHz band and mixed b/g/n mode before pairing.
• Does it work with Home Assistant or Yandex Alice?

  Officially the maker lists eWeLink, Google Home and Alexa. Home Assistant integrations exist only as third-party projects tied to an eWeLink account, with no official support — which is why we do not list them as ecosystems.
