• Why is there no power adapter in the box and what do I need?

  This is the 'No AC Adapter' package: the box holds the 5 m strip, the controller, a USB-A–Type-C cable and the manual. Any 5V source works — the maker officially shows a charger, USB hub, power bank or a PC port. A 5V/2A adapter matches the controller's 10W maximum.
• How many colours can the strip show at the same time?

  There is no one-colour-per-strip limit: each of the 150 LEDs is driven by its own IC, so different sections glow in different colours while gradients and waves move along the run. The palette is 16 million colours plus 2500–6500 K white.
• The strip is longer than I need — can I trim it?

  Yes, on the cut marks placed every 33.33 mm — a much finer pitch than typical strips. Only the section wired to the controller keeps working: the trimmed tail cannot be reused, so measure twice before cutting.
• What happens if the internet or Wi-Fi goes down?

  The strip does not brick: when Wi-Fi is unavailable, control switches automatically to Bluetooth from your phone (an official eWeLink feature), and the button on the controller still toggles the light physically.
• How does the L3 Pro differ from the plain L3?

  The L3 is an analogue RGB strip: the whole length shows a single colour. The L3 Pro is RGBIC: every LED has its own chip, sections can differ in colour, and 44 presets add moving effects. Both series are powered over Type-C at 5V.
• Which ecosystems does it work with? Is SmartThings supported?

  Officially: the eWeLink app, Google Assistant, Alexa and SmartThings — for the L3 Pro, SmartThings support is stated by the maker on the product page itself. Home Assistant integrations are third-party only, via an eWeLink account, so we do not list them.
• How does music mode work — does it use my phone's microphone?

  No, the microphone sits inside the strip's controller: it picks up the sound in the room, and in eWeLink you choose one of the Classic, Soft, Dynamic or Disco modes and set the sensitivity. After setup the phone can be put away.
• Will it work for a shop window — can it run on a schedule?

  Yes, eWeLink offers timers and countdowns: the strip lights the window before opening and switches off at night. Dynamic RGBIC effects catch the eye better than static light, and the IP54 coating forgives splashes when the glass is cleaned. Mind the working range: −10 to +40 °C.
