Specifications checked against the linked manufacturer documents.Checked 18 October 2026
Device type — what it meansA video doorbell mounts outside on the wall or door frame and replaces the bell button. A video peephole fits into the door's spyhole: camera outside, screen inside — you see the visitor without opening the door or reaching for your phone. | Video peephole with screenThe camera fits the door's spyhole and looks like an ordinary peephole from outside; inside there is a 4.3″ screen. There is no bell button outside [1] |
|---|
Video resolution (per lens) — what it meansHow many megapixels one lens records, per the manufacturer: more pixels show more detail when you zoom in — faces, number plates, small objects. The exact frame size in pixels is in the note; for multi-lens cameras this is the resolution of one lens, not the total. | 5 MP2880 × 1620 pixels, 1/3″ progressive CMOS sensor [2] |
|---|---|
Horizontal field of view — what it meansHow wide an area in front of the door the device sees from left to right. The diagonal angle, where published, is in the note. | 125°149° diagonal; 2.3 mm lens [2] |
Vertical field of view — what it meansHow high and low the picture reaches. A large vertical angle shows a person head to toe and a parcel on the floor by the door. | 71° [2] |
Where recordings are stored — what it meansA microSD card stores recordings for free; in kits with an indoor unit it may sit in that unit rather than the doorbell, so recordings survive if the doorbell is taken off the door. Cloud storage keeps recordings on the maker's servers, usually with a paid subscription. | Memory card in the indoor unitThe microSD slot is on the side of the indoor screen, not in the outdoor camera. Cloud storage is not mentioned on the product page [3] |
Max microSD card size, GB — what it meansThe largest card, in gigabytes, the device accepts. Whether a card is in the box is in the note. | 512Card not included [2] |
| Image sensor | 1/3″ progressive CMOS, 5 MP [2] |
| Lens | 2.3 mm [2] |
| Video codec | H.265 / H.264 [2] |
| Frame rate | 15 fpsUp to 15 fps [2] |
| Digital zoom | 88× [2] |
| Privacy zones | 4Masked areas stay hidden in live view and recordings [1] |
Power source — what it meansWhere the device gets its power: 230 V mains, an adapter, USB, batteries or a built-in battery. | Built-in battery4800 mAh battery, charged over USB-C at 5 V ⎓ 2 A [2] |
|---|---|
Battery capacity — what it meansThe built-in battery’s rated capacity. Run time also depends on how the device is used. | 4800 mAh [2] |
Battery life — what it meansTypical life on one set of batteries or one charge, per the maker. Frequent triggers, cold and a weak signal shorten it. | 5 monthsUp to 150 days in manual mode (5 views a day, 10 s each). In AOV mode 7–14 days (30 events a day, 10 s each) [1] |
Supply voltage — what it meansThe supply voltage (and current, if stated) as the maker gives it. It must match your mains or adapter. | 5 V ⎓ 2 A (USB-C) [2] |
Rated power — what it meansThe rated or maximum power draw from the spec sheet. It sets the load on the socket and the energy use. | 2 WLess than 2 W [2] |
Indoor unit — what it meansWhat announces a visitor inside the home besides the phone alert. A chime rings indoors; a screen shows who is at the door. With no indoor unit only the app tells you. Whether the unit is in the box and how it is powered is in the note. | ScreenA 4.3″ non-touch colour screen is part of the device and mounts on the inside of the door; it carries the snapshot/record buttons and the microSD slot. It runs on the device's battery [2] |
|---|---|
Screen size — what it meansThe indoor screen's diagonal in inches (1″ = 2.54 cm). It decides how large the visitor appears and from how far away you can see them. | 4.3″Non-touch screen [2] |
Additional functions — what it meansCapabilities beyond video and ringing. Always-on video (AOV) records continuously at a reduced frame rate rather than only on events. Quick voice replies let you answer a courier with one tap. If the indoor unit extends Wi-Fi, the device works more reliably at a door far from the router. | Always-on video on battery (AOV), record and snapshot buttonAOV mode: 24/7 watch with a frame every 3 s and automatic recording of people (manual recording is unavailable in AOV). Outside AOV: snapshot and recording by the screen button or from the app [1] |
Audio — what it meansMicrophone only — the camera records sound with the video. Two-way audio — there is also a speaker, so you can talk through the app to whoever is in front of the camera. | No audioNo two-way talk and no sound recording [1] |
Event detection — what it meansWhich events the device tells apart and sends separate alerts for, besides a button press. Person recognition filters out false alarms from cars and branches, and loitering tells you someone is standing at the door without ringing. Which sensor detects motion (PIR infrared or video analysis) is in the note. | Person, LoiteringPerson and loitering detection work only in AOV mode; outside it the device analyses and records nothing on its own. No PIR sensor is mentioned — video analysis. A detection region and up to 4 privacy zones can be set [2] |
|---|
Connectivity — what it meansThe wireless link or network the device uses. Wi-Fi connects straight to the router; Zigbee, Thread and Bluetooth Mesh work through a hub or gateway. | Wi-Fi [2] |
|---|---|
Wi-Fi band — what it means2.4 GHz passes through walls better and reaches further, but is more often crowded by neighbours' networks. 5 GHz is faster and less congested but weaker behind walls. A 2.4 GHz-only camera won't join a network that runs on 5 GHz only. The Wi-Fi generation (e.g. Wi-Fi 6) is in the note. | 2.4 GHz, 5 GHzThe overview page says Wi-Fi 6, the spec table says IEEE 802.11 b/g/n; the Wi-Fi generation is not unambiguously confirmed [2] |
App — what it meansThe maker’s app used to set up and control the device. | Imou Life (iOS, Android) [3] |
Door thickness — what it meansFor a video peephole: the door thickness it fits, per the manufacturer. The spyhole diameter it needs is in the note. | 35–102 mmSpyhole diameter 14–26 mm; screws of different lengths are supplied for different door thicknesses [1] |
|---|---|
Ingress protection (IP) — what it meansProtection against dust (first digit) and water (second). IP20 is for dry rooms only, IP44 resists splashes, IP65 and up handle water jets and outdoor use. | Not stated by the manufacturer |
Dimensions (W × H × D) — what it meansThe device’s size in millimetres as the maker states it. Check that it fits the wall box, niche or shelf. | Ø33 × 44 mmOutdoor peephole camera; screen: 115 × 80.4 × 18.4 mm [2] |
Weight — what it meansThe device’s weight without packaging, per the maker. | 276 g [2] |
| Housing material | Plastic [2] |
| Lens rings | 3 interchangeable colours: gold, silver, black (one fitted, two in the box) [1] |
Certifications — what it meansStandards and certifications the maker lists for this model (for example CE, RoHS, Zigbee 3.0, Matter). | CE [2] |
Operating temperature — what it meansThe air temperature range the device is rated for. The lower limit matters outdoors, on balconies and in unheated rooms. | −20…50 °CThe quick start guide pictogram shows −10…+50 °C; keep the screen away from water [2] |
