• What does the 360° lens actually see?

  The 0.98 mm fisheye lens covers 180° horizontal and 180° vertical — a full panorama of the entrance. Unlike narrow-angle doorbells, it catches the parcel left on the mat, not only the visitor's face. The 4MP image (1920×1920, 2K+) shows in four modes: fisheye, horizontal correction, vertical correction and VR, with 8x digital zoom.
• Does it really run on battery, with no wires?

  Yes. The Doorbell 3 Kit has a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery that lasts about 120 days in normal use and charges with a USB Type-C cable (DC 5V/1A) — no doorbell transformer and no wires through the wall. If you already have a doorbell wire, you can optionally hardwire it at 8–24 V~ (5 VA minimum).
• Where is footage stored?

  On a microSD card up to 512 GB that goes not in the doorbell but indoors, inside the bundled chime — so a thief cannot rip the card out with the doorbell. Alongside the local card, an imou cloud subscription is available. The system supports up to 4 chimes.
• What does the bundled indoor chime do?

  The chime plugs into an ordinary socket (100–240 V~) and rings at an adjustable volume up to 120 dB with several ringtones. It also works as a Wi-Fi extender for the doorbell, which helps a lot in homes with thick walls or when the doorbell is far from the router, and it holds the microSD card.
• Does it integrate into Home Assistant via ONVIF/RTSP?

  No. As a battery doorbell, the Doorbell 3 Kit does not expose an ONVIF or RTSP stream, so it does not add straight into a third-party NVR or Home Assistant. Control is in the imou app (iOS/Android), with Alexa and Google voice control. If you need ONVIF/RTSP, choose an imou PoE camera.
• Will it survive cold and rain outdoors in Moldova?

  The maker states the doorbell body is all-weather, with an operating temperature from -20 °C to +50 °C, which covers Moldovan winters; battery charging, however, happens between 0 and 45 °C. imou does not publish an exact IP code (some distributors list IP66), so we do not assert one — mount the doorbell under a small canopy where you can.
• How does it cut false alarms versus motion detection?

  The Doorbell 3 Kit has separate AI human and package detection, plus a PIR sensor and loitering detection for someone who lingers at the door. So you get a 'person at the door' or 'parcel delivered' alert rather than a trigger for every leaf or passing car, and the quick voice reply is customizable.
