• How does the N110W differ from the wired N110?

  The N110W is the Wi-Fi 6 version of the same 10-channel recorder: instead of running Ethernet to each camera, it links imou cameras over a dual-band radio (2.4 and 5 GHz) with 4 external antennas. The wired N110 has only an RJ-45 port and needs a cable to each lens; there is also a PoE variant. Local HDD recording and 4K output are identical.
• Do the cameras connect fully wirelessly?

  Yes — imou cameras pair over Wi-Fi 6 automatically and need no data cable, only power at the mounting point. The one mandatory wired link is the short patch lead from the recorder to the router via the 10/100 Mbps RJ-45 port. The 2.4 GHz band carries up to 8 cameras for reach, while 5 GHz adds the nearby channels.
• How many cameras and what disk does it take?

  The recorder handles up to 10 channels and records locally to a single SATA disk of up to 16 TB; the HDD is not included and is bought separately. Total system bandwidth is 90 Mbps, and simultaneous playback reaches 4-ch 8MP@15fps. We recommend a surveillance-grade (CMR) disk rather than a generic desktop one.
• Does it work with other-brand cameras or with Home Assistant?

  Yes. The N110W is ONVIF Profile T conformant, so beyond imou cameras it ingests third-party cameras over ONVIF/RTSP. In turn, the recorder's RTSP stream feeds into Home Assistant, into a Synology Surveillance Station or into a Frigate software NVR — so you are not locked into a single ecosystem.
• Can I view the cameras from my phone away from home?

  Yes. The recorder connects to the imou app (iOS and Android) and gives access to the live view and recordings from anywhere over the internet. Through the same ecosystem come the Google Home and Alexa voice integrations for viewing on compatible displays; the main control stays in the imou app.
• Does it save to the cloud or locally, and do I lose footage if the internet drops?

  The main recording is local, on the HDD inside the recorder, so it keeps going even if the internet drops or you skip any cloud subscription. Backup of important clips goes to a USB stick. Remote access through the app needs the internet, but the on-disk recording does not depend on it.
• How do I make sure the Wi-Fi signal reaches every camera?

  Being a Wi-Fi recorder, it depends on signal: the 4 external antennas cover a typical home well, but reinforced-concrete walls and long distances between floors can weaken 5 GHz. For distant cameras lean on the 2.4 GHz band (longer reach, up to 8 cameras) and keep the lenses within the antennas' range; if needed, reposition the recorder more centrally.
