• Does it work with non-imou cameras?

  Yes. The N110 is ONVIF Profile T conformant, so through manual add with the Onvif or RTSP protocol it takes third-party IP cameras — Hikvision, Dahua, Reolink, Uniview — and records them just like imou ones. Some proprietary AI features of a foreign camera may not appear over ONVIF, but the video stream and recording work.
• Does it have PoE to power the cameras?

  Not on this version. The NVR-N110-8A0E is the base wired model with a single RJ45 10/100M port and no PoE — cameras are powered separately (a PoE injector, a PoE switch or their own supply) and connect over the network. If you want PoE straight from the recorder, the variant is the N110-4P with built-in PoE ports.
• Which disk does it need, and is one in the box?

  The disk is not included. The N110 has a single SATA bay for an HDD up to 16TB; for 24/7 recording use a surveillance-class drive (WD Purple, Seagate SkyHawk), not a desktop one. The box holds the recorder, a 12V/2A supply, a mouse, SATA data and power cables, an Ethernet cable, a screw pack and a quick start guide.
• Do I need a subscription to keep recordings?

  No. All footage is written locally to the recorder's own HDD with no monthly fee, and is reviewed on a TV/monitor over HDMI or in the imou Life app. The Imou Protect cloud is an optional subscription for extra backup, but it is not required for basic operation.
• How many cameras and what resolution does it take?

  The N110 records up to 10 IP channels with an incoming bandwidth up to 90 Mbps and cameras up to 8MP, using H.265 compression to save space. Simultaneous playback is 4 channels, and screen output reaches 4K over HDMI. For 18 channels on the same platform there is the N118 sibling.
• Can I view the cameras in Home Assistant or Synology?

  Yes. The streams are reachable over ONVIF/RTSP, so they can be added to a Home Assistant dashboard, a Frigate add-on for object detection, or Synology Surveillance Station and other VMS that speak ONVIF. The imou Life app stays for quick phone viewing.
