• Why three lenses, and what does each do?

  They are three separate video channels. The two top lenses are fixed, each with a 3MP sensor and a 3.6 mm lens (87° H field), and constantly hold the wide panorama of the yard. The third lens, a 5MP unit with a 6 mm lens, is motorized: it turns 0–355° and tilts 0–90° and auto-tracks the target with Click2Track. Together they make 11MP.
• Does it work with a third-party NVR, Synology or Home Assistant?

  Not over ONVIF or RTSP. This model is managed exclusively through the imou Life app (iOS/Android), and NVR recording runs only on imou's own Imou/Dahua systems — the camera does NOT expose ONVIF/RTSP, so it cannot connect to a third-party NVR, Synology Surveillance Station, Frigate or Home Assistant over a standard stream. If you already run a third-party system, choose an imou model with ONVIF.
• How much microSD does it take, and can I record without the cloud?

  Yes, fully without the cloud. It has two microSD slots that together take up to 1024 GB (1 TB) of local recording, and the AOR (Always-On-Record) mode manages the space for long continuous capture. There is also the Imou Protect cloud on subscription, but it is not required for basic operation.
• Does it see in colour at night, or only black and white?

  Both. Each of the three modules has 4 built-in illuminators (spotlight + IR) reaching 30 m. The Smart Color Night Vision mode has four options — Smart, full colour, infrared and off — so you choose between a crisp black-and-white IR image and real colour via the spotlight. The spotlight can also trigger on motion as deterrence.
• Does it have PoE, and how is it powered?

  No PoE. The 100 Mbps Ethernet port carries data only, and power is supplied separately — DC 12V/1.5A (under 18 W) from the included adapter. There is no battery, no solar panel and no 4G SIM — those are other models in the range. For a pole install, plan a protected socket or a supply in a sealed box.
• What is AIgo Play, and what does the camera detect?

  AIgo Play is imou's own algorithm platform: besides motion detection it recognises people and vehicles and adds intrusion, crossing-line (human/vehicle) and absence detection. The algorithms update over time and can be downloaded separately, so the detection functions can be extended after install without changing the camera.
• Will it survive a Moldovan winter and rain?

  Yes, within limits. The body is protected against dust and water and runs from -30 to +50 °C, enough for a normal Chișinău winter. imou does not publish an exact IPxx code for this model, so do not treat it as a fully exposed camera: mount it under an eave or in a sheltered spot and keep the DC supply and cable away from water.
