• Why two lenses, and what does each one do?

  They are two separate video channels. The top lens is fixed: you aim it by hand once at install, up to 260° horizontally and 30° vertically, and it holds the panorama of the yard. The bottom one is motorized, turns 0–355° and tilts 0–90° and does auto-tracking. Each has its own 5MP sensor, so together they make 10MP / 3K.
• Does it see in colour at night, or only black and white?

  Both. It has 0-lux IR LEDs reaching 30 m for a clear black-and-white image in full darkness, and built-in spotlights that switch to full colour when you want colour detail or visible deterrence. The mode is chosen in the imou Life app or triggered on detection.
• Does it work with third-party NVRs, Synology or Home Assistant?

  Yes. Besides Imou/Dahua NVRs over a private protocol, the camera supports third-party NVRs via ONVIF, so it integrates with Synology Surveillance Station, Frigate or Home Assistant through the ONVIF/camera integration. We recommend the ONVIF path; a per-model RTSP stream is not officially documented. There is no browser access — day-to-day control is through imou Life.
• How is it powered — battery, solar or PoE?

  None of those. This model is wired, DC 5V/1.5A, from the included supply — no battery, no solar panel and no PoE. The battery-plus-solar or 4G SIM versions are other models in the Cruiser range. For a pole install, plan a protected socket or a supply in a sealed box.
• What microSD does it take, and can I record without the cloud?

  It takes a microSD card up to 256 GB for local recording, so the camera can be used fully without a cloud subscription. There is also the Imou Protect cloud, on subscription, for smart detection and cloud recording. For longer-term retention an NVR over ONVIF is the most reliable option.
• Does it cut false alerts versus an ordinary camera?

  Yes. Imou Sense runs on both channels and recognises people and vehicles separately, rather than reacting to any movement, plus motion and abnormal-sound detection. So the alert comes when a person or car actually passes, not for every leaf swayed by the wind.
• Will it survive a Moldovan winter and rain?

  Yes. The body is rated IP66 against dust and water and runs from -20 to +50 °C, enough for a normal Chișinău winter. As it is wired, make sure the supply and cable stay protected; under an eave or on a wall is the ideal spot for a wind-exposed pole.
