• Does it work with Home Assistant?

  Yes. You add it through the Z-Wave JS UI add-on as a serial port, not through the eWeLink integration. The maker officially lists Home Assistant, openHAB and Z-Wave JS.
• Which Z-Wave devices does it support?

  In principle any Z-Wave certified device from any brand: sensors, bulbs, switches, plugs and locks — all on one local network.
• What does the 800 generation add over 700?

  A newer EFR32ZG23 chip, S2 Security and Z-Wave Long Range — point-to-point communication up to 1000 m line of sight on top of the classic mesh.
• Can I run Z-Wave and Zigbee together?

  Yes. Z-Wave runs on sub-GHz (860–930 MHz), separate from Zigbee and Wi-Fi, so you can run the PZG23 next to a Zigbee stick on the same server.
• Which Z-Wave region should I pick in Moldova?

  For European devices select the EU region (868.4 MHz) on first setup; otherwise nodes will not pair. The model works on 860–930 MHz, covering most regions.
• Why does it ship with a USB extension cable?

  To move the coordinator away from a metal mini-PC or NAS, where electromagnetic interference cuts range. The 1 m cable is included in the box.
• Do I need an account or cloud?

  No. The PZG23 is a local coordinator for self-hosted platforms; it does not appear in the eWeLink app and needs no account — the whole Z-Wave network stays with you.
• Is there a PoE-powered variant?

  Yes, there is the Dongle Max (MZG23) model with PoE for rack mounting. The PZG23 is the USB variant, plug-and-play into an existing server.
