• Is this a door sensor or a vibration sensor?

  It is a vibration and shock sensor, not a door contact. Inside sits an accelerometer that reacts to a knock, vibration and drop — that is, to the forced movement of whatever it is stuck to, not to the opening itself. To flag only the moment a door opens, use a magnetic contact; to catch a forced attempt, this is the right device.
• Does it need a hub or does it work on its own?

  It must have a Tuya ZigBee gateway. The official Moes page states plainly that a hub "is a must" to work: the sensor talks over Zigbee and has no internet of its own, so without a hub it never appears in the app and sends no alarms. If you do not have a gateway yet, we can supply it together with the sensor.
• Which app and ecosystems control it?

  It is set up and controlled from the Tuya / Smart Life app, where you wire it into automations — siren, camera, lights. As a standard Tuya Zigbee device (TS0210) its data can also be read in a compatible SmartThings hub. The official Moes page does not claim direct Alexa or Google integrations for this sensor.
• How is it powered and how long do the batteries last?

  It runs on DC 3 V from two 1.5 V AAA batteries. The standby draw is below 10 µA and rises to at most 20 mA in alarm, so one set lasts a long time in normal use. There is no power cable, so it does not depend on a socket and needs no electrician.
• Where and how do I mount it?

  On any flat, clean surface: peel the film off the bundled 3M tape and press for a few seconds, or fix it with the two screws for a permanent mount. Stick it on the part that vibrates — the door leaf, the safe lid, the window frame. On old or painted wood degrease the surface first or the tape may let go.
• How far does the signal reach and how often does it report?

  The Zigbee range is 10-30 m indoors with no obstacles — enough for an apartment or to cover a garage from the hub in the house; walls and thick concrete cut the distance. The status refreshes every half hour, but the shock alarm is sent at the moment of the event, not at the next cycle.
• Can I leave it outdoors, on a gate or fence?

  Not advisable. The sensor is meant for indoor use, runs at -10 to +50 °C and up to 95% non-condensing humidity, and has no declared IP rating against water or dust. For a garage door mount it on the inside; for spots in direct rain choose a sensor with a sealed housing.
