Does it need a Gledopto hub or app?

No. The GL-W-003Z is a standalone RF panel: it sends commands at 2.4 GHz straight to the Gledopto controller or bulb it is paired with. There is no hub, gateway, app or cloud account in the chain, and all control stays local, with no internet.

Is it compatible with Zigbee, Home Assistant or Tuya?

No. Despite the "Z" in the code, the device is not Zigbee and does not show up in Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT, Tuya or any other smart-home ecosystem. It works on 2.4G RF only (the MiLight/MiBoxer protocol). If you need software integration, pick a Gledopto Zigbee, Wi-Fi or Matter controller instead.

Very simple: the panel sticks on the wall, glass or tile with the double-sided tape in the box, or fixes with two screws. There is no chasing, no wire to pull and no electrician needed — being battery powered, it is plug-and-play.

How many zones does it run and what can it adjust per zone?

The panel runs up to 4 lighting zones independently. For each zone you set on/off, brightness, colour across the full 16-million-colour RGB spectrum with the touch ring, and white from warm to cool (CCT) with the lower bar, on RGB+CCT fixtures.

What powers it and how long do the batteries last?

The panel runs on batteries (2×AAA), not mains — which is why it mounts anywhere with no socket. Standby draw is very low, so one set lasts a long time in normal home use; Gledopto does not publish an exact figure, so we will not quote one. Keep spare batteries handy.

Does it work without internet, and can I control it from a phone?

Yes to the first: control is fully local over RF, so the light works even with no internet or Wi-Fi. No to the second: as it is not a connected device (no hub or app), you cannot drive it from a phone over the internet and it does not join software automations. For phone control, pick a Gledopto Wi-Fi/Matter controller.

The GL-W-003Z looks like a glass light switch, but it wires to nothing: it is a battery touch panel that sends commands over 2.4 GHz RF (MiLight/MiBoxer compatible) to Gledopto Pro/Plus controllers and bulbs running in RF mode. It mounts on the wall with tape or screws — no chasing, not a single wire.<br><br>The touch ring sets colour across the full RGB spectrum, and the lower bar slides white from warm to cool (CCT); the panel drives up to four zones independently.
