An original part is made by the vacuum's manufacturer (or a factory on its behalf) under its brand and factory part code. A compatible part is made by another company; its size, materials and fit may differ from the original.

A reusable pad is washed and used many times until it wears out. A disposable pad is thrown away after one clean: no washing, but you keep buying new pads.

Which wet-cleaning system the pad is made for; it must match your robot's system. A flat pad fits a plate or water tank, a vibrating pad fits the moving plate, round pads fit rotating discs, and an edge mop separately wipes along the walls.

What the working surface is made of. Microfibre and chenille absorb and hold water, a foam layer helps spread it evenly, and non-woven fabric is usually used for disposable pads.

How the manufacturer allows a reusable pad to be washed. Wring or dry it before fitting so the robot does not leave excess water on the floor.

After how many months the manufacturer advises fitting a new filter. Real life depends on the cleaned area and frequency, pet hair and how often the filter is cleaned; if the manufacturer states it in operating hours, the note says so.
