• Which eMotion devices is the cable compatible with?

  The probe works only with the eMotion Pro, the eMotion Ultra and the round version of the eMotion Max. It plugs into their USB-C port. Other LinknLink models are not guaranteed; check your device before ordering, especially for the eMotion Max, where only the round variant accepts the probe.
• Can I use the cable as a standalone sensor?

  No. The THS Cable has no radio of its own and does not connect directly to Wi-Fi or to an app. It is a passive accessory: with no compatible eMotion to plug into, it measures and reports nothing. If you need an independent temperature sensor, choose a self-contained device.
• How do the readings reach Home Assistant?

  The readings come not from the cable but from the eMotion device it is plugged into. That device is Home Assistant-first and sends temperature and humidity locally over MQTT across Wi-Fi as separate sensors. No proprietary hub and no mandatory cloud are needed.
• What temperature and humidity range does it measure?

  The probe measures temperature from 0 to 50 °C and relative humidity from 0 to 85% RH, with a ±2% tolerance on humidity. These ranges cover the comfort band of an ordinary Moldovan home; it is not made for extreme environments, sub-zero temperatures or condensation.
• Does it need a separate power supply?

  No. The probe is powered at 5 V DC / 2 A through the eMotion device it connects to, via the USB-C port, so it needs no adapter of its own. The 2 m cable gives you room to place the sensing head where the measurement actually matters.
• Why do the 2 metres of cable matter?

  An eMotion enclosure warms up slightly in use, and a sensor pressed against it would read higher than the true temperature. The 2 m cable moves the sensing head further away, to a point representative of the room's air, for more accurate data in scenes.
• Does it work with Alexa or Google Home?

  The official page does not claim Alexa or Google Home for the cable itself — those integrations belong to the host eMotion device, not to the probe. The safe path is Home Assistant: the eMotion exposes the probe's readings in HA, from where you can tie them to whatever voice assistant you already integrate.
