Start with the room
Selection depends on the room and installation conditions. Wi-Fi does not replace choosing the right AC unit for the job.
Clarify available commands
Mode, target temperature, fan speed and status feedback are as important as on/off. Home Assistant climate actions depend on the model and integration.
Coordinate heating and cooling
Plan summer and winter modes, room sensors and avoiding unnecessary simultaneous heating and cooling. Settings are checked on site.
What should you compare beyond Wi-Fi?
Compare cooling and heating capacity (BTU or kW) against the room’s size and conditions, whether the unit has an inverter, the lowest outdoor temperature at which it can still heat (important if it will heat in winter), indoor-unit noise in dB, the refrigerant type (for example R32) and whether the Wi-Fi module is built in or sold separately. Take the values from the exact model’s documentation.
Official sources and scope
This is the platforms’ official documentation; we check the compatibility of a specific model separately.
From the principle to the exact model
Integration depends on the boiler, valves, manifolds and AC models. Savings depend on the building, weather and habits; no fixed percentage is promised.
